Position Summary:

HR Generalist's job entails providing support for a wide variety of activities of human resources including staffing, employment processing, compensation, benefits, administration of records and HRIS system, safety and health, employee relations, compliance and labor relations. The main responsibility of HR generalist is to advise managers, supervisors, or administrators in all HR practices, to provide information to employees about regulations and policies, and to provide general support. In general, a HR generalist performs a wide variety of both complex and routine administrative services.

Primary Responsibilities :

Execute HR administrative processes and services consistency at local/area level
Administer compensation and benefits systems, processes, and employee communications
Support key aspects of staffing and succession planning processes
Apply and administer HR process and ensure effective departmental coordination
Support training and development activities
Manage employee relations programs and processes
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory activities such as wage order, EEO, AAP, OSHA/Safety, Worker's Compensation, Unemployment, FMLA and FLSA
Recommending, developing, and scheduling development and training courses
Providing research and statistical information to staff in collecting, preparing and analyzing the information for use in implementation of procedures and policies.
Recruitment and Selection, Pre-employment

Posting and advertising open positions and assisting in recruitment process at job fairs
Developing and maintain good relationship with universities, employment agencies and other recruitment resources
Conducting an analytic job studies and constructing valid selection and job related criteria. Screening, evaluating and recommending applications for interview
Preparing and maintain job documents, job evaluations, and company salary structure systems
Writing ads and posting open position and drafting offer letters for new hires
Participating in interview as required and assisting staff members in identifying and creating job related interview questions
Ensure that all recruiting efforts adhere to laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures
Maintain applicant flow tracking
Process background checks, drug screen, e-verify
Reference Checks
New Hires/Terminations

Conduct new hire orientation and annual orientation
Preparation of all personnel, benefits, and confidential files
Administer and process terminations
Conduct exit interviews
Compensation and Benefits

Assisting with compensation and classification issues
Administering and explain benefits to employees, serving as liaison between insurance carriers and employees
Process promotions, transfers, adjustments, increases in the system
Leave of Absence administration
Employee Relations/Assistance

Reviewing employee complaints and ensuring accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues
Facilitating actions to resolve the employee issues and escalating them to appropriate management team
Payroll/Kronos

Weekly payroll for hourly and biweekly for salaried employees
Identify, process, and resolve payroll discrepancies
Investigate and resolve missing paychecks
Process billing invoices accurately and timely
Process employee reimbursements
Ensure all payroll practices are in accordance with the state and federal labor laws, including company policies
Human Resource Information System

Maintain HRIS system, used according to procedure, and that data is current and accurate
Timely update of HR records
Other Duties

Verification of employment
Compiling data and records for annual AAP
Create, update HR forms as required
Skills and Specifications :

2-3 years Human Resources experience
Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Excel and Word
Basic writing, reading and arithmetic skills
Strong level of influence and negotiation skills
Good professional appearance
Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects
Able to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work
Ability to research, evaluate and analyze new recruitment techniques, methods, and procedures
High level of integrity and trust
Strong ethics/values
Action oriented, timely decision making and ability to act with ambiguity
Education and Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree with specialization in Human Resources or Business
