Location: Glen Burnie, MD
Reports To: Director of Accounting

General Summary: Under the supervision and direction of the Director of Accounting, this position performs a variety of complex accounting duties.

Duties include:

1.Fixed Assets - Includes additions / disposal / depreciation, reconciliation to GL.
2.Personal property returns.
3.Reconciliation and analysis of General Ledger Accounts as assigned.
4. Reconciliation duties:
Maintains spreadsheets for supporting schedules to ensure that company accounting practices are being maintained.
Researches and solves discrepancies.
Makes recommendations for ensure GAAP accounting statements.

5.Prepare, verifies, and controls journal entries.
6.Bank reconciliations.
7.Review Monthly Profit/Loss statements.
8.System report writing attributes.
9.Demonstrates a working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and concepts, practices and procedures.


Requirements:

1.Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting.
2. 3 to 5 years experience in the accounting department of an industrial company.◦Fixed Asset, Personal Property Returns or Sales Tax a plus.

3.Good organizational, detail and communication skills.
4.Computer skills, including PC software such as Excel and Word experience...
5.Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
6.Ability to make independent judgment within established guidelines.
